How we handle your data
GPT Shop Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company no. 15766335, registered office Goodison Middleton, Winterslow, Salisbury, England, SP5 1QR) is the controller for any personal data described here. Contact: hello@gptshopltd.com.
Cookies and analytics
No cookies, no analytics and no trackers or pixels. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's network sees connection details such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested.
The PageSpeed check and emails to us
The page address you type on this site is not sent to us. If you press the PageSpeed button, the address opens in Google's PageSpeed Insights in a new tab, and Google's own privacy policy applies there. If you email us at hello@gptshopltd.com, for example with a question, the email passes through Cloudflare (email routing) and is delivered to Google (Gmail), our email providers. We use your email address and what you send to reply to you. We handle these emails on the basis of our legitimate interests and keep them for 12 months after our last reply. If your email is about an order, we keep it with the order records described under Your order.
Payment
Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects the details its checkout asks for, such as your email and card details, and we never see your full card number. For the audit, checkout also asks for the website address to audit and the email for your PDF. For the speed fixes, it asks for the website address to fix and your platform. Stripe passes these to us with your order. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that page.
Your order
We use your website address, your email and anything you email us about the order to test your page, send you the PDF, make the agreed fixes and answer your questions. For the speed fixes you add hello@gptshopltd.com as a user on your Shopify or WordPress site. We use that access only to make the agreed fixes, we never ask for your password, and you can remove the user at any time. That access can let us see personal data held on your site, such as customer or user records. We do not copy or use it, and we act only on your instructions for it. We rely on our contract with you to use this information. We keep order details and what we delivered for six years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, to meet UK tax record-keeping rules. We keep these records because the law requires us to (legal obligation).
Outside the UK
Stripe, Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK, under the safeguards those providers use.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, ask for your order data in a portable format, or object to our use of it based on legitimate interests, by emailing hello@gptshopltd.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
